Boys and their toys

Now moored at Bridge 17 Hinckley, on the Ashby Canal

We arrived here on Sunday afternoon and the first thing was diesel as we were down to about 30 litres. Sure enough, including 25 litres in our spare cans we took on 171 litres at 71p per litre. As Sue on N/B No Problem reported the price of diesel has crept yet again. While we were refuelling we watched the local radio controlled model boat club operating their models just inside the marina where it was sheltered from the wind.

We have now moored between the marina and bridge 17. Monday lunch time and we caught the bus into Nuneaton to pick up our prescriptions from Boots the Chemist and for me to carry on into University Hospital, Coventry for cardiac tests. While I was away Dot had a look around the town and found a furniture shop where she bought 2 recliner chairs and foot stools 1/3rd cheaper than Wilsons of Kinver. Naughty me, chuckle ,chuckle.

I eventually arrived home after 7pm and am all wired up for sound and have to go back to the hospital tomorrow to get it all taken off. I also have to go back on Thursday to spend half an hour or so on the treadmill while being wired up again. Hopefully by then they will have some answers.

A big hello to Peter and Cheryl of Narrowboat Chipmunk II, thanks for the email, yes we did see your boat. Lovely paint job if I remember correctly. Lets know how you get on with the new Roadstar, we are very interested.
