It’s back to DIY now.

0 Locks, 12½ Miles, 8 Swing bridges.

When you got to go, you’ve got to go. As we had an arrangement to meet the BW guys at Netherton swing bridge at 8.30am we had to go even though it was raining and did so for most of the morning. At Hancock’s swing bridge the guys gave us a cheery farewell and we were on our own again.

Liverpool 453 BW knocking off for the week-end. Safe storage at Maghull coaches.

As we are out on the open cut once more it wasn’t surprising to meet 3 boats heading in the opposite direction. It was a long haul today but mooring sites are a bit scarce around this neck of the woods and we had used this mooring previously so we made  a point of returning here. Now we are moored up the sky is clearing and the sun is making an appearance, typical.

1734 locks, 3618 miles, 66 Tunnels, 71 swing bridges and 53 lift bridges since Nov 2006
