Wednesfield Market Day.
Another fantastic day greeted us this morning despite a light overnight frost. After a quick look around the market we were up and away to Sneyd Junction where the guide books show visitor moorings but we had been warned that these no longer exist as BW have sold them off as long term moorings. Sure enough there were no moorings available and the resident boaters were amazed to see 2 boats on the move.

After some discussion it was agreed to carry on to the Walsall Top Lock, moor there and visit the Museum. Well, we arrived after several trips down the weed hatch between us, and at the Top lock we found there is only room for 1 boat on the secure moorings so we are breasted up. No problem there. Two BW workers came past and we enquired about the museum only to be told that it closed due to lack of fund’s. Curses, foiled again.
